What you need to qualify Three years of experience as a supervisor of clerical, secretarial, or office support staff that includes hiring or recommending hiring, training, assigning, and reviewing work, preparing performance evaluations, and handling disciplinary actions.
One year of this experience must include management of multiple offices, programs, or procedures.

Your duties at a glance As an employee working within the Child Welfare Program , you will have an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Oregon's most vulnerable children and families.

As an Office Manager 3, you will:
Be responsible for directing the work of staff performing general office and administrative functions through direct supervision and/or subordinate supervisors.
Furthermore, you will oversee the development and implementation of short and long-range district goals and objectives.
Some of your duties will include; Participate in management, policy and program planning decisions related to the operation of the office, unit, branch or department.
Interpret State and Federal laws, Administrative Rules, agency policies and procedures, personnel policies and procedures, and collective bargaining agreements for all staff.
Serve as staff resource regarding attendance, benefits, overtime and other personnel or payroll related items.
Authorize payment of monthly bills, travel advances, and reimbursement for expenses.
This will also include arranging office building and equipment repairs and/or new equipment installation.
Coordinate or assist with recruitment for agency positions, ensuring compliance with Affirmative Action guidelines, or have an expanded scope of training responsibilities to include training of staff in other offices within an agency.
Interview and hire, or effectively recommend hiring, subordinate supervisors and other clerical staff.
Determine training needs, recommend training programs and provide or oversee new employees orientation and staff training on new work procedures or operations.
Oversee and direct the functions of two related key components of the District:
(1) The compliance with business requirements for the district and the staff supporting this.
(2) Monitor, analyze, and evaluate operational effectiveness through reports gathered by onsite reviews, monitoring and quality control reviews.

Working conditions Some travel may be required between branches and or dependent on the needs of the office.
This position has the potential option of a Hybrid working schedule but details to be discussed with your hiring manager.
Hours of work may vary from day to day and may include evenings and weekends.
Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record; If no driver's license, must be able to provide alternate method of transportation.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
