Coordinates all aspects of Surgical Services Charges for the Operating Room/ASC and PACU including but not limited to, reconciliation of surgical implants , HCPCS code assignment, Cost, recording of all required fields for Regional Implant Log, PACU Acuity Levels, additional PACU charges and other related duties as assigned. Works cooperatively with all stakeholders including suppliers, surgical services leadership, materials management, Purchasing, and Charge Description Master Dept to assure timely services and accurate billing. Maintains proper billing per regional and national requirements.
Essential Functions:
LEADERSHIP STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE: Enters electronically, all post operative Implants, Chargeable items and Procedure level Acuity processes related to the patients' charges throughout the surgical experience, as required.
Identifies and promptly communicates the gaps in Implantable items and Inventory not existing in inventory file, including HCPCS&Cost information by line item as well as Procedure level acuity code audit.
Acts as a resource for Purchasing, Surgical Services Staff and Charge Master Department with relation to Implants, Chargeable items and other related items.
Acts as a resource for Purchasing, Surgical Services Staff and Charge Master Department with relation to Implants, Chargeable items and other related items. Develops and maintains good working relationships with OR, Purchasing and Supply, and Distribution and Departmental Managers.

Maintains and enhances professional expertise through appropriate continuing education.
Basic Qualifications:
Two (2) - three (3) years of experience in scrub role in the operating room experience is required, Specific experience/ knowledge in Orthopedics & Neuro is preferred but, not required.
License, Certification, Registration
Additional Requirements:
Personal computer, fax, phones, email, materials management inventory system, and Surgical Services software system.
Preferred Qualifications:
The qualifications for the position are at the minimum, equivalent to the level of a Surgical Assistant or Surgical Tech and are requirements needed to be successful in the position. The level of experience and expertise for the job is determined by the current amount of expertise in the unit/department. If training or experience is not required but would be desirable, it is listed as preferred. However, persons without preferred background will be considered in the hiring process.

Ability to maintain accurate post operative files, logs and reports, for implant maintenance and chargeable services as directed.
Knowledge of surgical procedures/instrumentation/implants for all services.

Demonstrated effective problem solving skills.
Able to effectively manage duties with minimum of supervision.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
