Client is also a worldwide leader in providing diagnostic tests and information for livestock and poultry and tests for the quality and safety of water and milk.
The Administrative Assistant III provides routine and non-routine administrative and clerical support for management and department staff.
Prepare, update and maintain spreadsheets, databases and reports as needed.
May mentor and/or direct work of other Administrative Assistants, temporary employees and interns.
PRIMARYDUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
o Maintain manager's calendar including meeting set-up, travel arrangements, preparing meeting agendas, determining and shifting priorities, resolving scheduling conflicts, etc.
o Design, format and update presentations, non-routine correspondence and resource manuals.
o Prepare, update and maintain spreadsheets, databases and reports.
o Plan and coordinate department wide meetings and special events including catering, technical equipment set up, awards and recognition, etc.
o Perform routine administrative tasks including phone coverage, ordering office supplies, distributing mail, filing, photocopying, faxing, etc.
o Prepare and distribute routine correspondence including memos, organizational charts, phone rosters, contracts, forms, etc.
o Prepare and process purchase orders, invoices, check requests, expense reports, etc.
o Coordinate and assist with hiring process including scheduling interviews, new hire paperwork, offer letters, etc.
o May develop and maintain department site on the Intradexx.
o Coordinate budget preparation, monitoring, analyzing and reporting.
o May mentor and/or direct work of other Administrative Assistants, temporary employees and interns.
o Back-up other Administrative Assistants as needed.
o Coordinate and/or lead special projects as assigned.
o Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
o High School diploma or GED required o Associates Degree or specialized training beyond high school required
Experience:
o 5 - 7 years of related administrative or office experienceREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
o Ability to use discretion and handle confidential information o Effective communication skills both written and verbal o Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of management o Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
o Ability to multi-task and prioritize o Ability to work independently and as part of a team o Strong Computer skills:
MS office - Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Visio o Ability to operate standard and specialized office equipmentPHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
